Marianne Thodas is an award-winning filmmaker and sound artist based in Vancouver, BC. Her film and sound work is ever-evolving alongside her practice, shaped by ongoing personal, thematic, and technological experimentation. Her films have screened at festivals such as Ann Arbor, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Antimatter [Media Art], Avant-Garde Cinema Screening, and at Harvard University’s CAMLab for the Revolution Per Minute Festival. She is a co-founder of the Bucket Collective, teaches at the University of British Columbia, serves on the Board of Directors at UNIT/PITT, and is the Program Manager at DOXA Documentary Film Festival. Some of her films are currently distributed by the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre.
